A four-star hotel in Gueliz, the heart of Marrakech's new town, with a year-round outdoor pool, a hammam, a restaurant and a 24-hour front desk.
See prices and availabilityHôtel Les Ambassadeurs stands on the corner of Avenue Mohammed V and Boulevard Abdelkrim El Khattabi, right in Gueliz, the modern district of Marrakech with its broad avenues, cafés and shops. The Carré Eden shopping centre is 600 metres away, the Jardin Majorelle 1.4 km, and Marrakech-Menara Airport just a few kilometres.
Four room types suit different trips: a single room for solo travellers, a double or twin room with a balcony, a 38 m² triple room and a 61 m² Deluxe Suite with a seating area and pool view. Every room has a private bathroom, free toiletries and a flat-screen TV.
Summer or winter, the outdoor pool stays open, alongside a children's pool and a hammam. The restaurant serves a continental and buffet breakfast, the front desk is open 24 hours a day, and the hotel also offers a hair salon, bike and car hire, and private parking at extra charge.

Hôtel Les Ambassadeurs offers four room types, from a single room for one to the Deluxe Suite. All of them have a private bathroom with free toiletries and a hairdryer, plus a flat-screen TV.
The Double or Twin Room, the Triple Room and the Deluxe Suite add air conditioning, a minibar, satellite TV and a balcony, and cots are free in these rooms. The real difference is space and group size: 24 m² for two, 38 m² for three and 61 m² with a seating area in the suite.

The outdoor pool, open all year and complemented by a sun terrace, is the natural meeting point at Hôtel Les Ambassadeurs; children have their own pool, and the hammam is a real break after a day in the medina. The restaurant and on-site café serve a continental and buffet breakfast, with kids' menus and special diet menus on request.
The 24-hour front desk handles concierge requests, luggage storage, currency exchange and excursions. Wi-Fi is free, private parking is available by reservation at extra charge, and the hotel rents out bikes and cars so you can explore Marrakech at your own pace.
Hôtel Les Ambassadeurs is in Gueliz, the new town laid out during the French protectorate, with its grid of avenues, Art Deco façades, cafés and galleries. Avenue Mohammed V, the district's main road, runs past the hotel, and the Carré Eden shopping centre is only 600 metres away.
Marrakech-Menara Airport is about 3 km away, just a few minutes by taxi. Bus line 19 serves the airport from 6:30 to 23:30, but it stops at Jemaa el-Fna and Bab Doukkala before reaching Gueliz, so a petit taxi, which takes up to three passengers, is usually more practical. Marrakech railway station, 800 metres away, is served by ONCF trains from Casablanca and Tangier, including a direct night train. There's a bus stop 30 metres from the entrance. If you're driving, book the private parking in advance, as it is available by reservation only.
The Jardin Majorelle, 1.4 km away, opens daily from 8:00 to 18:30; tickets are sold online only and include the Pierre Bergé Museum of Berber Arts. Right next door, the Musée Yves Saint Laurent closes on Wednesdays. Jardin El Harti, a quarter of an hour on foot, is a green break in the neighbourhood. For the medina, allow about 3 km to Jemaa el-Fna square: fresh juice stalls fill it by day, and at sunset it turns into a huge open-air food market. The Bahia Palace, El Badi Palace and the Saadian Tombs are all less than 4 km away. In the alleys GPS is unreliable, so download an offline map and use the Koutoubia minaret as your landmark. Spring and autumn are the best seasons; in July and August temperatures often top 38 °C, so head out early and save the afternoon for the pool.
